 PROFESSIONAL TEMPLATES

for

WEDDING

Planners, Designers & Stylists

Why These Templates?

*

Improve and speed up your planning, design and styling processes.

I’ve created these templates to help you speed up and structure your process of working with clients, from start to finish. Whether you’re new to the industry and need a solid structure to start from. Or if you’ve been doing this for a while and need to make some improvements. Once customised, the bundles will provide you with beautiful documents to deliver to your clients each step of the way. These will be easy and quick to edit for each client. And, they will reduce the time spent emailing and the information lost or misunderstood in the process.

*

Deliver consistent, beautiful and well structured documents to your clients.

The templates are beautifully designed and structured to cater specifically to your process as a wedding planner, designer or stylist. They were born out of necessity and experience? As a wedding designer and planner myself, I’ve been where you are. So, I wanted to create something fully tailored to what my colleagues in the industry really need.

The templates come with a diverse selection of font pairings, colour palettes, and layouts. These elements have been carefully curated to create an elevated aesthetic and serve a highly visual process. Each business is distinct, and everyone’s needs are different, so variety was key.

If you are new and have no idea what look you’re after, you get plenty of options to pick from. So, you can just choose the right look for you. You add your logo, images and copy, and you’re done. And if you have a well defined brand, you can pick one that is closest to your desired end result and customise. You’ve got complete freedom.

The templates are grouped in 3 main collections. Each collection is broadly designed along the lines of a general style.

  • contemporary elegant – ESSENTIAL;
  • modern minimal -MINIMAL,
  • classic sophisticated – CLASSIC.

Check out the collections below.

*

Enhance your skills and refine your customer experience.

Let’s face it. If you want to deliver an outstanding service, you can’t cut corners and you have to constantly learn to use the best tools available. So, I’ve created all the templates in Adobe InDesign. This gave me complete freedom to create from scratch and will allow you to fully customise them to your heart’s content. And the best part is, that every template comes with step by step video tutorials to get you started with InDesign (if you’re new to it), and show you how to edit the entire document. You can watch the video on your phone/tablet while editing on your computer – how awesome is that?!

*

Make your business easy and focus on the things you love most.

It’s simple, really. Once you get rid of all the bulk and time consuming activities, you’ll have more time for the work you care about. The work that you started your business for in the first place. Whether it’s creating inspiring editorials. Curating beautiful details for your clients. Or delivering on their biggest dreams for their special day.

Hi! I am Andreea.

Andreea Bucur designer and creator of Teastyle wedding planning and design templates

Before you move on, let me introduce myself…

A multi-passionate creative, with a background in conservation biology and 4 years in the weddings and events industry.

I’m the proud creator and designer of Teastyle – an event and wedding design studio.

After 6 years in an unfulfilling corporate job, working for a multinational pharma company, I started my business, by planning tea parties. And thanks to some very supportive friends I quickly added weddings to my repertoire.

 Doing business in the dark

The first 2 years, running my business was sucking the life out of me. I didn’t know what my process needed to be like. How to be efficient and actually have enough time to do the work I loved most. I knew how to plan a wedding or event for my clients. But I hadn’t figured out how to make my business work for me.

My standard documents included a contract, a text-only services list, and a power point planning proposal. And I used to spend hours creating them from scratch for each client. Always changing things around.

To add to that, I was writing ‘never ending’ emails to my clients and vendors. Despite using a planning app, I still had to email a lot of details. And often some of these would be lost in the trail of emails, so I’d have to repeat them. Talk about a waste of time and energy!

Which brings me to you

An ambitious entrepreneur and a passionate creative, determined to offer your clients an outstanding experience. This industry needs as many talented and commited people as possible, because the people we work with deserve awesome experiences and wonderful memories to last them a lifetime. So, I want you to have the best opportunity to put your most amazing work out there. And, if you’re spending time on the wrong things, tired and frustrated, you won’t do that. You’ll simply give up, like I was about to.

When I started out, there were very few resources available to help me with this process. I spent months testing different platforms and apps. I overhauled my entire process and revised what worked for me and what didn’t. Then, I figured out for what steps of the process I could create easy to use templates to speed things up. I’ve ensured that my materials did a good deal for me. Informing my clients and vendors of my process. Helping them visualise my ideas better. And keeping them in the know in a simple, visual way, to make emails and meetings easy. Turns out I also love digital design.

Talking to colleagues in the industry, I realised that others needed these resources as well. And I got a ton of ideas. So, I’ve created new designs and added components to cater to services that I don’t offer.

I’ve put heart and soul into creating these resources. I want them to be the best helping hand I can offer you. So, I’ve included as much support, and as many perks and extras I could think of, to make them worth your while. I truly believe that they can make a positive difference in your business.

Giving Back…

Teastyle is a dream come true for me, and my commitment to create work for good. Everything I create, I do because I truly believe it can be of great benefit to others. Whether it’s something useful that can make someone’s life easier. Something that helps them achieve a dream. Or, it’s simply an experience that brings joy and puts a smile on their face.

In turn, through your investment in my products and services you help me give back to deserving causes. I currently donate 5% of all sales to charities and NGOs that I respect and I know are making a real difference (more details to come).

At the moment I donate to:

  • nature conservation, and
  • tackling extreme poverty and inequality for children and women, through education, support for entrepreneurship and sustainable development.

Do You Have Any Questions?

Making an investment in your business always means doing some homework. It’s only normal that you have a million questions to ask. I know I would. So, I want to make this as easy as possible.

To help you find out all the nitty-gritty details, I put together a list of (not quite a million) questions and answers. I’m sure these are going to help you make up your mind in no time. Spoiler! No, the templates are not right for everyone.

I’m also adding to this list all the time. So, if you have a question that’s not in there, just drop it in the Contact form. I’ll be more than happy to answer it and post it below to help others as well. For product/collection specific details, please check the Collections pages.

Are these templates right for me?

Do you recognise yourself in any of the following statements? Then the templates are right for you.

1. New wedding & event planner, designer or stylist (0-2 years). Not sure:

  • what template documents you should have.
  • what you should include in your client documents.
  • how to impress clients with your organisation/aesthetic.
  • how to do justice to your brand.

2. Experienced wedding/event planner, designer or stylist. Maybe you’d like to upgrade/re-design your existing templates. Or, perhaps you’ve just re-branded and need to overhaul all your documents to reflect the new look. But

  • you don’t have the time to do it yourself, or
  • you don’t know where to begin. Staring at a blank page trying to pick fonts and come up with interesting new layouts just doesn’t do it for you.

OR

You have been doing things the same way for a long time and feel the need for a change. But, you’re stuck on options and digital design just isn’t your game. You need ideas, a fresh new structure and a solid starting point.

*The templates are suitable for complete newbies to InDesign and for experienced users alike.

Who are the templates not right for?

Wedding companies and experienced planners, designers and stylists, who have already perfected their templates and process. Everything you put out is beautiful, consistent and cohesive. You’re not thinking of changing your workflow and documents anytime soon. So you definitely don’t need to purchase new templates. Alternatively, if you love designing everything yourself and know exactly what you’re doing. Again, you don’t need these templates.

Finally, if you’re a newbie, but you’ve got plenty of digital design experience and love starting with a blank page, you could do without these templates. In this scenario however, I would strongly recommend that you speak to an experienced wedding pro who you admire. Ask them to advise you on what are your must have documents for an easy and efficient process, and what you should include in each. This is something that these templates do offer. But you can certainly work on that yourself with some help from someone who knows the process well.

Do you offer a refund?

The short answer is: No. The long answer is that I would love to, but because they are digital products they cannot be returned and therefore I cannot offer a refund. I have put heart and soul in creating them. I’m offering all the support you need, so you can make the best of them and I truly believe they deliver great quality and solutions for those who need them. I’m also happy to answer 1000 more questions if that is what you need to feel safe with your purchase.

That being said, I appreciate that the full bundles are a considerable investment so, I suggest that for a start you purchase one of the templates sold individually – brochure, services proposal or design proposal, whichever would be most useful to you. If you are happy with that then you can later buy a bundle at a discounted price (minus what you paid for the template you bought) – you just need to email me the invoice of your purchase and what bundle you’d like to purchase and I’ll send you a discount code you can use on the website.

Do you offer discounts?

Yes, I do, on occasion offer discounts. These are usually displayed on the products page. You’ll find that I love my little community of subscribers, so I make sure that they get the best of my offers. If you’d like to receive the love, make sure to subscribe to my newsletter below.

You’ll get weekly 5 minute videos or text emails. My videos will include tips on how to improve your digital design skills, create awesome materials for your clients from scratch, and learn to make the best of InDesign for your business. Of course, you’ll also find out about new product launches in advance of everyone else and will get the best discounts that I only share with my lovely community.

How are these templates different from other (cheaper) proposal and brochure templates available online (i.e. on Creative Market)?

Here are the main differences:

  • They are created with your specific work as a wedding/event planner, designer and stylist in mind. This means that they are already customised to serve your process, from the first interaction with the client, until the day of their event;
  • The styles & feel of the collections, fonts, colour palettes and general layout were curated to suit most wedding andevents brands.
  • You receive a minimum of 18 designs for each document.
  • You receive clear and detailed tutorials on how to edit them. These tutorials also include a beginners guide to InDesign, if you’ve never used it.
  • I continue to add new designs/documents to each collection after I launch them. The industry is ever evolving, so I like to keep things fluid. If you buy one of the bundles and subscribe to my newsletter, you’ll receive these updates for free. This means you can keep things dynamic for your brand with one purchase.
  • The bundles include 12 documents that you need to streamline your process and template graphics to help you market your business on the main social media channels for the wedding industry.
  • You get templates for documents that you simply don’t get anywhere else.
  • You have full flexibility to edit them any way you need for your brand.
  • With the VIP pack you get the whole templates set and bespoke customisation from me.
  • You also receive a bonus cheat-sheet for In Design keyboard shortcuts, to help you speed up your editing.
  • Each bundle includes a set of pre-designed elements that you can add to the existing designs to customise them further.
  • Bonus: extra cover layouts for each document & extra image and mood board layouts for the proposals.

Are images included in the templates?

No. The templates come with empty image frames placed within the layout so you can easily insert your own photos. All the images you see on the products page and in the introductory video included with your purchase are of my own work, or have been kindly donated by colleagues with a different style than mine, to help you visualise how the template could look when customised. My images and my colleagues’, are part of our own portfolio and are therefore not for sale.

Can I update the templates to reflect my brand colours and fonts?

Absolutely, you can. And the beauty of InDesign is that you can easily do that for an entire document with multiple pages, with just one command that takes you a couple of minutes. Before you do that, make sure you watch the video tutorial included with your purchase. It will show you how to use that function for optimal results.

The templates do come with a selection of font pairings and colour palettes that I have carefully chosen to consolidate the feel of each collection and yet, be versatile enough for different brands. You might find that some of them do fit your brand perfectly, but if they don’t you certainly don’t have to stick with them.

How much can I customise the templates and how long would it take?

Nothing is locked-in, so you can literally change anything you want. You can modify  colours, fonts, sizing, positioning, a whole layout, add, remove or duplicate pages, etc.. And of course you add in your own images and copy.

You receive the templates in several design options for each font pairing and colour palette included. You also receive additional designs for certain pages – i.e. cover, moodboard, transition pages, etc.. So you can add/remove pages, depending on what works best for you. The templates are structured for wedding planning & design workflow, so the pages aren’t just basic layouts. You actually get a document built to include everything you would need to present your brand and serve your clients in the best way possible.

In terms of editing time, it really depends on how much you want to customise and how comfortable you are working in InDesign. Start by watching the introductory and tutorial videos. They walk you through the structure of the templates, mock-ups so you can visualise how some designs would look edited, and step by step instructions on how to edit them. Then, look at all the designs and decide which one is best for you. Next, decide what changes you want to make. Once you’ve done that, with images and copy ready to insert, it should take you 10-40 minutes to edit (depending on the size of the template). Complex customisations, like changing layouts entirely, would take longer, but the tutorials cover tips on how to do those things as quickly as possible. If you’re brand is still new or you’re not comfortable with digital design, I’d say stick to adding your images and copy. And, maybe change colours and fonts to what you already use on your website, if they work well for your style.

What document format will I be able to send to my clients?

You’ll be able to send them a printable pdf. You can also publish it as a pdf online, directly from InDesign if you like, and save individual pages as JPEG images. If you use a planning/design app (i.e. Aisle Planner) you can upload the documents and deliver them through the system.

The template bundles are a big investment. Any chance I can see more images of what's included before I commit?

I realise that the bundles are fairly pricey and I do want to put your mind at ease about making this investment. However, I do not publish more images of the layouts and mock-ups because:

  1. there’s so much diversity in each pack that it would be a mammoth task to show mock-ups on all the designs (not to mention that it would seriously slow down my website 🙂 );
  2. the designs are my original work and I’ve invested a huge amount of time creating them; so, you’ll forgive me if I’m a bit protective of my work.

But here are a few points that may make you feel safer in making this investment:

  • in each collection, you have a minimum of 1 core design for each colour palette, with layout variations for each font pairing; that’s a minimum 18 design variations per document.
  • you can modify literally any part of it, to your liking, and
  • you have simple and quick tutorials that show you how to do that.
  • also, on each collections and product page you can see details of everything that is included with your purchase and how the documents are structured (so please do check out these details).

If you are concerned about one particular element/aspect, please get in touch through the contact form below. I’ll be more than happy to answer any of your questions.

Why did you choose InDesign? Can I edit the templates in another app?

No, you can’t edit these files in another app. You receive them as editable .indd files which work only in InDesign.

For the level of detail and customisation flexibility that I wanted to deliver to my customers, I had to choose only one app. And I decided that InDesign was the perfect tool for that. I’ve used several apps, free and paid, before I landed on InDesign. Some of them, like Canva and PicMonkey, can be great for non-designers. Especially the pro versions. But they still fell short in some respects.

I love to start from a blank page and run with my imagination. InDesign is the only app I tried that gave me that freedom for my own templates. It’s also allowed me to manage multiple long documents, quickly and easy. Plus, it’s desktop based, so if your wifi goes, you can still work in it. And if you want you can also publish PDFs online, straight from the app. In short, I chose InDesign because I love it and believe it’s the best tool for this job.

If you’re not sure this app is right for you, why not subscribe to my free newsletter at the bottom of this page and get some insight into how it could work for you.

*By the way, I’m not paid by Adobe to promote their app. I chose it because I love it and use it every day. And I know that the top pros in the industry use it as well. So I want to encourage you to at least give it a try.

I've never used InDesign and the whole thing scares me. Do you offer any tutorials on how to customise the templates?

Absolutely, yes. There’s an intro video showing you around your templates and some mock-ups to help you visualise the designs. In addition you have a set of structured tutorial videos that introduce you to InDesign and how to customise your templates. Plus, if you want to learn even more and become better at customising your documents, you can subscribe to my newsletter at the bottom of the page. You’ll get 5 minute videos with 1-2 new tips each week.

I don't have the time/don't want to learn how to use yet another app. Can you not provide the templates in other formats as well?

Honestly, I can’t commit the time to create this vast number of designs, in other apps as well – I still love my work as a wedding & event designer. So that’s getting a big chunk of my time. And besides, which apps or formats? There are so many of them. So, no, I can’t accommodate that. But if time is your concern, I promise you that with the video tutorials included, you can watch and edit the templates in parallel, easily and in your own time.

Plus as business owners and pros in the events industry, we constantly have something new to learn, to stay relevant. Yes, at times it can become a bit overwhelming. But isn’t that the beauty of entrepreneurship?

Ultimately, if you’re not happy to learn to use a new app, just don’t. If the thought of using this app really bothers you and it feels like too much of a burden, in spite of all the support you get, then the templates are not right for you. And that’s perfectly fine 🙂 .

Why have a brochure and a services proposal? Aren't they kind of the same thing?

Not quite. Yes, both documents cover some core information about your services, but they target slightly different outcomes and you use them in different stages of your interaction with a client. Here’s what I mean:

  • The brochure you usually send over (or have on your website as a downloadable) when you get a very simple email asking you about your services and prices. You don’t know much about the potential clients at this point. So, you don’t want to commit to a full proposal and final quote yet. With the brochure you give them an overview about the type of services they can expect from you, starting prices, some of your best testimonials and highlights of your best work. This is how you get them to ask further questions and book a direct chat with you.
  • The services proposal is the detailed document you send after you’ve had a lengthier discussion with your potential clients. Now you know what their requirements are and you can finally propose to them the most suitable services and a final quote.

Why two separate proposals? What's the difference between a services proposal and design proposal?

These two are based on my personal experience and preference. And on what I learned as best practice, from some of the most successful people in the industry. As a bespoke designer I need to spend several 1-to-1 meetings with my clients to get to know them better. I can only build an outstanding and personal design proposal once I understand their vision fully. This proposal is a dynamic document that I keep building throughout the planning process, as we work through all the aesthetic elements of their wedding/event. I never provide design elements (including a mood board) before my services are booked. The services proposal on the other hand, is what I send before they book, to propose my most suitable services and a bespoke quote based on their specific requirements.

I already have a services/design proposal and use a good planning app. But I'd like to get some of the other templates available in the full bundle. Can I buy them separately?

Not really. I’ve constructed the bundles as a means to streamline a process and believe they are most powerful together, because of what is included in each document and how they are structured. The only standalone templates are the brochure and proposals.

Also, the .indd document format isn’t really transferable to other apps.  Personally I believe that all the documentation should have a cohesive look. To achieve that, you would have to recreate those purchased documents from scratch in the app of your choice. Honestly, that simply isn’t worth the investment, given the amount of time you’d spend doing it.

I'm not sure what collection fits my brand best. How do I choose?

What style defines your work, brand or website. What style are your clients drawn to? Is there a common thread or not? Then look at the collections – does your style match any of the collections? The minimal and classic collections are for brands that have a very clearly defined look. So, unless you can clearly place your brand and style into one of those two categories, then you should go for the Essential collection which is very versatile. And if you’re still unsure, drop me an email in the contact form below with a link to your website and I’ll do my best to help you.

I'm re-branding and want to update all my documents. Can I give these templates to my brand designer to tailor them for my new branding?

First of all, if your brand designer is offering this service, they might actually already have their own templates. Or they might prefer to do something custom for you, from scratch. You’re paying them good money so why would you pay extra for templates, if they can do bespoke work?

Secondly, if you still want to use them and your designer agrees to work with these templates, then they need to purchase the templates and factor the purchase into your fee. The price of the templates covers only a “Single Use” license for single use by one individual/business entity. As your designer would be able to keep using them with other clients, they would need to purchase a commercial license. For that they would need to get in touch with me directly. I know….too complicated. Probably not worth it, right?

The best solution is to either try to customise them yourself based on the branding parameters your designer creates for you or purchase one of the limited VIP packages, which includes bespoke template customisation from me (have a look on the product pages for details about this service).

*Please note that, by purchasing any of the digital products sold on this website (with a “Personal use” license) you agree to use them only for your own business. Making copies, derivative products and/or sharing the original documents with 3rd parties, is not permitted under this licence – please read the Licence Terms here.

So, are these just empty layouts that I need to fill in, or do they actually have some content I can use?

For the most part the templates are empty layouts (with placeholder text in text boxes) to allow each pro to customise for their own requirements as quickly as possible – each business is different, so the templates have to be versatile.

That being said, the templates are structured to follow common elements that any wedding planner or designer might use at some point. There are cover titles, chapter titles, breakdown of services (all of which can be edited), special layouts for visual elements like mood/style boards (you just add images and pick the colours), categories for the planning progress cards, etc. These elements deliver a structured document, that is easier to customise. You can remove, keep or add things that are relevant to your business.

To get a better idea of how the documents are stuctured, what each template includes and to see some samples of pages,  have a look at one of the collections here.

I'm just starting out as a Wedding planner and I'm not even sure if I need or can work with all these documents. Should I buy them?

The templates are built to offer structure and guidance. So, they are ideal for someone just starting out or who isn’t sure what they need to include in their process and how to deliver the content to their clients. In fact the templates include a wider range of elements, to serve a variety of different businesses. Even some experienced pros wouldn’t include everything, as it’s not relevant to their services.

The templates are a good point to start from and learn. If you’re a beginner, then it’s all the more important to test things, see what works for you, and adjust as you go. However, please try not to let yourself overwhelmed thinking that you have to do everything that is covered in them. Be selective and make a plan. You can change things as you gain more experience. The templates will allow you to do all of that and remain flexible with your offer, process and brand image. Finally, if you’ve never done a wedding/event before, try to work first with someone established to gain some insight and then decide on your offer.

I'm just a stylist - no planning. Are any of these templates / bundles suitable for me?

Yes. The Design/Styling bundle is meant for pros who don’t cover any planning aspects. You will probably cover less than a designer, so you’ll have to take out the parts you don’t need. Each business is different anyway, so most people would need to take things out or add in if their offer is different.

What is different between the collections?

The main difference between the collections is the style. The choice of fonts, colours palettes and layouts is what sets each apart. All collections include the exact same documents. And each document includes the same elements/chapters. However in some documents the structure is different. The order and format in which information is delivered, is changed to complement the style.

Also, the Minimal and Classic collections are an elevated design, and are created for brands with a well defined aesthetic. They also include more font pairings and therefore more design variations.

Are these templates just a copy of your own templates?

Absolutely not. The fact that there are three different collections should be a good indicator. 🙂

My personal templates are bespoke to my business and I’ve created them specifically to serve my brand. These templates on the other hand, I’ve created with a more broad style in mind. They’re nothing like my own templates.
